Michael Graham
Michael commenced his accountancy training at O’Hare’s Chartered Accountants in 1975. In 1982 he set up his own practice Michael Graham and Co. in Belfast. In 1991 Michael joined Higgins Graham Accountants as a partner until 2013. He joined PGM as a consultant in 2013 and has a broad experience on all aspects of general practice.
Squash is Michael’s game and he regularly plays in the masters league. As chairman and secretary of Lisburn Racquets Squash Club, Michael is kept busy between the court and the office.

Accounts Technician
Lisa Hill MIATI
Lisa commenced working with Higgins Graham Accountants in 1995 and joined PGM in 2013. Lisa works on accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. She also has responsibility for the completion of VAT and Payroll compliance for clients.
A keen swimmer, Lisa swims as often as she can, she also enjoys reading, but her main passion is spending time with her young daughter.

Accounts Technician
Frances Leiros Reis MIATI
Frances commenced working with Higgins Graham Accountants in 2006 and joined PGM in 2013. Frances works on accounts preparation and tax compliance for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. She also has responsibility for the completion of VAT and Payroll compliance for clients.
With itchy feet, Frances loves to travel, especially to mainland Europe for the architecture, food and wine. When not travelling, you can find her in the warrior pose in a yoga class or talking about world politics.

Director
Paul McAreavey FCA
Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 with Macintyre Hudson, Chartered Accountants in London. Having qualified he returned to Northern Ireland and joined Blythe Grace Chartered Accountants. He set up PGM Chartered Accountants in 2001 and has a wide range of experience in all aspects of general practice.
In 2011 Paul was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Paul’s interests outside of work, include tennis and golf. Paul represented Ulster in the junior inter-provincials. He continues his interest in tennis as the President of The Belfast Boat Club, Stranmillis.

Tax Manager
Alison McClenahan ACA CTA
Alison graduated from Queens University Belfast with a 1st class honours in BSc Accounting in 2011.
She qualified as a chartered accountant in November 2013.
Alison proceeded to complete her CIOT exams acheiving the highest mark in Northern Ireland in her final exams and she was awarded the Ian Walker medal by CIOT for the highest mark in the UK in the Tax Awareness paper.
Alison worked as an assistant tax manager at PwC Belfast before joining PGM Chartered Accountants in May 2018.

Consultant
Arthur O’Brien FCA
Arthur is consultant with PGM with 25 years’ experience in practice. Arthur joined KPMG in 1991 with a 2:1 Honours Degree in Accounting and a Diploma in Professional Accounting from Queen’s University Belfast. Arthur is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, having qualified in 1993 and having been placed in his final professional exams. Arthur was elected to Partner in KPMG in 2002 and retired in 2016.
Arthur is experienced in leading sensitive assignments and liaising with senior (Board) level management in a variety of large public and private sector organisations.

Accounts Manager
Patricia Fearon ACA
Patricia graduated at the University of Ulster with a BSc Hons Accounting (2:1 class honours) in 2013 and has passed her Chartered Account Exams in October 2016. She is the Accounts Manager at the Lurgan office.
Outside of the office, Patricia likes to keep fit playing football and off the pitch she can be seen buried in a good read.

ACA Trainee
Mary Tohill
Mary graduated from Queens University Belfast with a MSci Chemistry 2:1 and a post graduate certificate in Education in Science.
Mary commenced her ACA training at PGM in May 2018 having worked for six years as a teacher and private tutor.
Outside of the office Mary enjoys listening to live music and immersing herself in a good book.

Consultant
Elizabeth Tohill FCA
Elizabeth trained as a chartered accountant with Thomson McLintock (KPMG) in Belfast and qualified in 1980. Elizabeth was a partner with Hugh Rafferty in Rafferty Tohill Chartered Accountants until his retirement in 2009, she then continued to own and manage the practice until merging with PGM in 2014.
Today, Elizabeth continues to work on all aspects of accounts, tax and audit. When the weather is good, Elizabeth loves to cycle and has a passion for music particularly classical, opera, traditional Jazz and Irish music.
